Robin and the Hoods

“This is Robin’s hood, and no-one is going to take it away from us!”

For the tenacious 11-year-old Robin (Darcey Ewart) and her loyal band of friends ‘The Hoods’, the patch of overgrown scrubland at the end of their cul-de-sac is a magical kingdom. Sticks and bin lids have become swords and shields, drones have become majestic eagles and the old hippy (Gwendoline Christie) living in the forest is a terrifying witch, with a penchant for mysteriously ‘magic’ mushrooms. The only thing beyond their colourful imaginations is losing their kingdom forever.

When the slippery property developer ‘Clipboard’ (Naomie Harris) turns up and dazzles the parents of the area with promises of health spas and day-care facilities, Robin and The Hoods’ Kingdom is faced with an existential threat. Despite the children’s best efforts, their protests fall on deaf ears. When their parents can’t see the wood for the trees, The Hoods are forced to take matters into their own hands.

Caught in a sea of change, stubborn Robin must learn to become a true leader through adaptability and selflessness, laying aside old rivalries and uniting friend with foe against a common enemy. A live-action family adventure feature film.
